About Stoton Cycle
Phil Caravello, the proprietor of Stoton Cycle, bought the shop from its previous owner in 1995. At that time, the shop was located at 143 West Main Street in downtown Stoughton.
On December 2nd of 1996, Stoton Cycle, along with two other businesses, was lost in an early morning blaze that devastated a portion of Stoughton's historic downtown business district. At that point in time, Phil wasn't sure he wanted to go through starting another business from the ground up.
But he relocated to the previous location at 229 East Main Street, which used to be Jensen's Furniture store. He occupied the basement which gave him more showroom space, acquired new inventory and set out to re-establish his business.
But now, the Yahara River Grocery Cooperative occupies the former Java Junction and Stoton Cycle space at 229 E. Main Street. Stoton Cycle has moved to a historic, renovated space at 100 W. Washington (corner of Division and Washington.)
